Tarte Shape Tape Foundation: Oh no, baby what is you doin'??

Now, everyone knows that Tarte simply has one of the best formulas for their concealers right now, so it was a given that their foundation would be near perfect, right?! Wrong.

Watching reviews on youtube was painful. Personally, being a black girl (hi, this is Temi btw) I tend to watch black you-tubers,  as  their make up reviews and choices would  better suit me. Being a religious stan of Jackieaina - La Bronze James, I trust her word and her videos, and honestly, this foundation appears horrible for a number of reasons.

Yes, I will list them.

First off: To be completely crass, the shade range was EMBARRASSING.There were three or maybe - if I want to reach - four shades for WOC which I find ignominious (a big word was well suited for such behaviour ). 

I mean, its 2018 and we're still having problems like it's the 1600s. And would it be a beauty article if I didn't talk about MY PRESIDENT, Robyn Rihanna Fenty?

Fenty Beauty came out with a whopping 40 shades in her first release.This was a dream come true for black girls, we were finally seeing progress, but Tarte just had to knock us down when we were finally getting up.

Secondly: For some reason, employees of Tarte believe that darker skinned  people have brown undertones and are predominantly grey or share the same tone as a Cheeto. I mean it's not rocket science, it was shocking to see such a huge corporation like tarte completely disregard majority of a race. Just to reinforce - embarrassed

Although, a Tarte representative attempted to explain that the new (hopefully darker) shades were in the works. I don't think I will be buying this product and from multiple reviews, don't think I would recommend them either.
