Fenty Foundation = Acne ?

(Brief Review)

To keep you guys in the loop, word on the street is Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Foundation is “acne in a bottle”. Being a dedicated user of the pro filt’r foundation this was a surprise.

Being a trust worthy source (and a Stan), I decided to do a little research of my own. Here’s what I found;

The foundation contains Silicone, this ingredient is frequently put in face washes and big brand name foundations. Silicone is a useful ingredient, it’s used to smooth the skin, it’s water resistant and just so happens to NOT be harmful to humans- Yippee?

Aside from the great positives, like silicone making the foundation water resistant (try me with that swimming date though), all that glitters ain’t gold.

Here are the unfortunate downsides of silicone;

Silicone can cause debris to build up in your pores, which is basically a gate way d

rug to bad acne especially when the product has a high percentage of silicone in it, but the breakouts can only be bad when your skin is already acne prone.

Now I think it’s safe to say that, yes Fenty beauty foundation has the possibility of causing acne, but I think it’s a slight over exaggeration to call it “acne in a bottle”. Our lesson here is to read what our foundation contains and stop coming for Rih Rih!
