The Oscar's Show Stoppers

At the annual 90th Academy Awards ceremony, it is not only the time to appreciate the huge block busters keeping us from submitting our already-due-in essays, but to watch as the red carpet floods with women and men dripping in finesse. From perfectly tailored couture dresses to flawlessly hemmed customised suits.

Here are our top 4 picks that had us drooling behind our screens:

1. AUNTY MARY

Mary. J. Blige blessed the carpet and the stage, with not only her vocals but her, exquisite floor length gowns. Both the red off shoulder mermaid styled dress and the white corset inspired dress were stunning, and complimented each-other perfectly.

2. COOKIE

Taraji P. Henson, was looking like a complete snack - and free cocktails too, with her black high slit dress. The Empire star didn't look a day over 25 and flaunted her melanin through all that sheer goodness, yet keeping it cute with barely there heels and discrete jewellery to have our attention all on her damn legs!

3.BLACK PANTHER

Chadwick Boseman, was arguably our best dressed male at The Oscars as he channelled his inner wakandan, giving us all sorts of black power vibes - if you havent already watched the film then you're wack : )

4. ANTM JUDGE

Angela Graham stunned in her metallic body hugging dress as she stood hand in hand with her fine husband. the heart shaped neckline and the synched in waist got her curves popping in all the right places. This dress was a personal favourite of mine, as it was effortlessly complimented with sleek back hair and minimal makeup. The super model's look was futuristic and real. A 10/10 from us.

Next year, we foresee bigger and better. Perhaps we'll see it for ourselves too ;)
