Fashion Icons: The Nanny

MISS FRAN FINE

Fashion icons. A person that comes to mind is none other than “Ms Fran Fine”; And yes, she was oh so fine. The 90s Goddess, hit our TV screens with back to back sprayed on dresses, waist synching blazers and stiletto heels to live for. Frankly, ‘The Nanny’ made us all wish that, one: We owned her wardrobe and two: We were born in the 90s (two years, missed by two years).

Some of our personal favourites, stood hand in with the famous theme song:

“She’s the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan”. This thigh high slit red dress was one of Frans most iconic looks. She brought colour, class and appeal to the boring event - My man on the bottom right think so too.

"She was there to sell makeup, but father saw more". Fran caused eyes to pop in this figure hugging cat suit. From the bob wig to the flare pants. Mouths. Were. Dropping.

As you can see, Mr Sheffield had no problems with it at all...

"She had style! She had Flare! She was there!" This breath taking Nubian princess inspired two piece had all our panties in a twist! The sparkly lilac material complemented Frans olive skin tone and gripped her in all the right places. A verified observation. By us.

From all the examples shown, you can probably see why Fran Fine was the best thing to happen to day time TV, and our lives over at The Fringe.
